Florn — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Florn is a single-player ecosystem puzzle game. You can play it entirely without an account. This policy explains the little data the game does handle, and why.
The short version
- No account, email, name, or login is required to play.
- No ads. No third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We never sell your data.
- Your game progress stays on your own device.
- Only the optional online Daily leaderboard sends anything to our server.
Stored on your device only
Your campaign progress, Evolution Points, streak, and daily results are saved in your browser/app local storage on your device. They are not sent to us. Clearing the app’s data (or “Reset progress” in Settings) removes them.
What the Daily leaderboard sends
When — and only when — you submit a run to the ranked Daily, the game creates an anonymous session (no email or personal details) and sends to our backend:
- An app-generated anonymous user identifier (not linked to your real identity).
- Your run: score, days survived, the board layout you built, the day’s seed, and the time of submission.
- An optional handle — a public display name you choose for the leaderboard. Don’t put personal information in it; it is shown to other players.
To prevent abuse and spam of the leaderboard, our server also briefly records the IP address a submission came from, purely to rate-limit how many submissions one network can make per day. It is not used to identify or profile you and is not shared.
Who processes this
The backend and database are hosted by Supabase, acting as our data processor. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS. No other third parties receive your data.
Retention & deletion
Leaderboard entries are kept so that daily and historical boards remain accurate. If you’d like your leaderboard data or anonymous profile deleted, email us at the address below and we’ll remove it.
Children
Florn contains no objectionable content and is suitable for all ages. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
